The focus is on drinking water. It has a variety of games and
activities, some requiring Adobe Acrobat. There are lots of
colorful graphics and not too much text. Students can submit art
work to the site, there are experiments for different grade levels, and
there is a parallel site in Spanish.

This site is similar to the above site, but with a broader focus and
aimed at an older age group.

This US Geological Survey Web site has information on
many aspects of water, along with pictures, data, maps, and an
interactive center where you can give opinions and test your water

activities! Includes a list of USGS educational materials

This site focuses on groundwater. It is related to the Children's
Groundwater Festival and other educational events and

From the Madison JASON/University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute. It
focuses on fish that swim in the Great Lakes.

Your Watershed
From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, this site is for older
students. Helps you locate, "view" and learn how to
protect the watershed where you live.
The
Watershed Game
Created by the Bell Museum of Natural History/University of
Minnesota. It is an interactive watershed-planning
game. It allows you to make choices and understand how your
choices affect the watershed where you live. For ages third-grade
and up.

A Classroom Theme
This site is done by a primary school in the UK. There are lots of
beautiful pictures and little text. The current focus is
rivers. This site could be fun for young children.
Hawaii
SeaGrant Sea Squirt 2000
This page is very colorful and interactive. There are many
pictures, graphics and links. This site would be good for 3rd or
4th grade and up. It focuses on coral reefs, surfing, and other
Hawaiian topics.
