AskWater Email Reference Service

What is AskWater?
AskWater is the Water Resources Library's email reference service. Use the form below to ask, at any time, a water-related question. Examples of the types of questions we can answer are:

  • What is the address of an organization?
  • What is the definition of a technical term?
  • What is the complete bibliographic citation for a journal article?
  • Short subject searches.

For information on a topic, we will often provide a short list of documents and/or journal citations usually with abstracts or annotations; as well as links to Web sites. Unfortunately, we cannot perform comprehensive or lengthy searches for you, but we can usually help you get started.

Who can use this service?
The library serves University of Wisconsin faculty, staff, and students.
